Common questions
How does Cram create flashcards?
Add a topic, paste your notes, share a link or YouTube video, upload a PDF, or snap a photo of your notes, and Cram's AI turns it into a deck of question-and-answer cards in seconds — no manual typing.
What can I turn into a deck?
Typed topics, pasted text, web links, YouTube videos, PDFs, and photos or scans of your notes. Choose a focus — exam, language, programming, certification, science, or general — and Cram tailors the cards to it.
How does reviewing work?
Cram uses spaced repetition: it schedules each card to come back right before you'd forget it. Set an exam date and the countdown keeps test day in view while you review.
Do I need an account?
Yes. Sign in with Apple, Google, or your email — it takes a few seconds. Your decks and progress sync to your account, so they survive a new phone or a reinstall, and you can still review offline.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, select Cram, and tap Cancel Subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
How do I restore a purchase?
If you reinstall Cram or switch to a new device, open Cram's settings and tap “Restore Purchases” to recover an active subscription tied to your Apple ID.
Is my data private?
Yes. There are no ads, we never sell your data, and your study content is never used to train AI models. Your decks sync securely to your account on EU-hosted servers. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
How do I delete my data?
Open Cram's Account settings and choose Delete account — that permanently removes your account and synced decks from our servers. You can also export a copy of your data from the same screen first. Need a hand? Email us and we'll help.
